Happy National Take a Hike Day! Go take a hike, but this time be sure to bring Fido along to enjoy some time in the great outdoors. Just in case, here are a few dog-friendly trails to try in Tucson, AZ. Enjoy! 

Agua Caliente Hill Trail
Near the end of Camino Cantil, the Agua Caliente Hill South Trailhead has parking for 15 vehicles and 4 horse rigs. This trailhead provides access to the Coronado National Forest’s Agua Caliente Trail system. Open dawn to dusk. Dogs permitted on leash.

Catalina State Park
Hiking, horseback riding and bicycling on the trails are popular activities, with eight trails varying in length and difficulty. Leashed dogs are welcome on most trails. The Desert Bighorn Sheep Management Area and the Wilderness Areas are closed to dogs. Free trail guides available at Visitor Center.

Mount Lemmon

A few trails on Mount Lemmon are open, at least partially, to dogs including the Butterfly Trail, Green Mountain Trail, Aspen Trail and others.
